‘Hissedari Nyay’ promises:
Congress party pledged a comprehensive census called to survey the population, socio-economic conditions, and representation in governance institutions.
The party also promised to increase reservation limits to 50% for SC, ST, and OBC through a Constitutional amendment. Additionally, they vowed to revive and legally enforce the Special Component Plan for SC and ST. The party also promised protection of tribal forest rights, resolving pending claims within a year, increasing MSP for Minor Forest Produce, and withdrawing anti-tribal amendments.
‘Shramik Nyay’ promises:
The party pledged a comprehensive set of reforms aimed at improving workers’ rights and social security.
This includes guaranteeing health rights for workers with universal healthcare coverage, increasing the national minimum wage to Rs 400 per day, introducing an urban employment guarantee law, and providing life and accident insurance for unorganized sector workers.
