PM Modi to address Matua belt in Krishnanagar, inaugurate projects on 2nd day of West Bengal visit

Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Matua belt of Krishnanagar on Saturday, other second day of visit to West Bengal.

The Prime Minister will visit Krishnanagar, a seat won by expelled Trinamool Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra today.

He will inaugurate an array of government projects and lay foundation stone of multiple several projects. Following this, he will hold a public rally and then head towards Bihar.

Meanwhile, Modi said in Arambagh on Friday that the Prime Minister said he will ensure that people’s money is not looted and he will act as “a guarantor” for people’s money and make sure that it is returned to them.

Saying that there was “open loot of central schemes funds”, Modi said, “I have turned into Dushman No I for not allowing loot…But I cannot allow people’s hard earned money to get looted. I promise and I guarantee that money will be returned to you…Modi will not get scared. I vow to women, youth and poor people that their money will be returned. It is my guarantee”

The Prime Minister said that he will not tolerate corruption of the Trinamool government, which is marred by corruption in every sector. He will ensure that all money taken from people gets returned to them.
The Prime Minister observed that there is a scam in every sector- primary teacher’s recruitment, Municipality recruitment and ration scam and the land grab, chit fund and so on.

Central projects stunted

Prime Minister Narendra Modi blamed the state government for slowing down various central government projects, worth thousands of crores, which have been stunted and hardly any progress was made. “The work for various projects, including Jharia-Raniganj and Tarakeswar Railway station, could not be completed.

“Trinamool government has not allowed the Centre to give houses for poor people in the state. In the country, Modi government has given more than 4 crore plus pucca houses. The Centre has approved 45 lakh houses and Rs 42,000 crore was released. But the state government of Bengal is not working fast and creating blockades,” Modi alleged. “Who can give pucca houses to the poor people? It is the BJP who can do it.”

The state government has been blaming the Centre for not releasing funds for the PM Awas Yojana and has said 11 lakh proposed beneficiaries, whose houses were approved but funds were not released by the Centre will be given by the state from May.

“The Centre is resolved to reach pipeline water “har ghar nal” to all houses. But the West Bengal government is working like a tortoise on this project,” the Prime Minister said, adding that the central funds are not being utilised properly by the state.”
