Kiara Advani opens up about starring in Don 3 opposite Ranveer Singh |

Kiara Advani, who was last seen in the film Satyaprem Ki Katha opposite Kartik Aaryan, has come on-board for Don 3, which will see Ranveer Singh stepping into the shoes of Shah Rukh Khan for the titular role as Don. She recently opened up about taking up an action role in the Farhan Akhtar directorial Don 3 and also reflected on her journey and experiences in the film industry.
“I think it’s a conscious decision, I wanted to do something different. I wanted to change it up for myself, and this was one genre that I was longing to get myself into. And that’s what’s exciting, right? As an actor, you are constantly stepping into different characters and making the world believe that that’s who you are. There will be a tough prep for the film, but I’ve got time to do that. I’m very excited, I’ve never done an action movie so. Now it’s my time to get some action in,” Kiara said at the ABP Conclave.

On Tuesday, the makers of Don 3 took to Instagram and shared a video welcoming the actress in the film. “Welcome to the Don universe @kiaraaliaadvani #Don3,” Farhan made the announcement. However, casting of Kiara has sparked mixed reactions from netizens who have been opinion that Priyanka Chopra would have been an apt choice for the role.

Earlier, the casting of Ranveer in titular character caused a lot of buzz akin to SRK first stepping in the iconic role which was first played by Amitabh Bachchan in the 1978 film Don directed by Chandra Barot. SRK has played the role of Don in the first two instalments of the film which released in a difference of 5 years.
The shooting for Don 3 is reportedly set to begin in August.
