Edeline Lee opted for an intimate breakfast on Mount Street for the release of her fall 2024 look book featuring mother-daughter duos that showcased the brand is capable of doing miniskirts, cozy hoodies and children-sized cupcake dresses just as well as its signature flattering cocktail or business casual numbers.
“Fashion is a really powerful way to express yourself, and forms a connection between different generations when a mother passes clothes down to her daughter. It’s a special thing as a designer to be able to witness as I do a lot of work with private clients directly,” Lee explained of her decision to present the collection in a series of moving family portraits of her friends, clients and supporters such as chef Amy Poon, artist Carolina Mazzolari and jewelry designer Cora Sheibani.
Mirroring the generation-transcending theme, Lee offered multipurpose pieces that catered to various occasions and age groups, like a crepe dress with removable sleeves and a crop top that can be either styled with a miniskirt or a fishtail skirt.
Rose was a recurring theme this season as well. She offered a white blazer with a mesmerizing three-dimensional draped rose at the back. The same technique could be found on the sleeves and busts of several other cape tops and evening gowns. There were also cropped hoodies and miniskirts adorned with hand-embroidered roses.
