‘Easy’ pizza recipe with three-ingredient dough cooks in just 10 minutes

There’s nothing like the taste of fresh pizza, especially when you’ve made your own dough at home.

However, making traditional pizza dough can be fiddly and can take hours to rise.

With this in mind, the UK’s number one food-saving app Too Good To Go has shared a simple pizza dough recipe that involves using leftover yoghurt.

The experts said: “There’s no need to throw it away – if the yoghurt still looks, smells, and tastes fine, it’s perfect for making this too-easy pizza dough.

“Top it with whatever you have in the fridge – think leftover cooked meat, veggies, or the end of a block of cheese.”

If you haven’t got self-raising flour, you can use plain flour or wheat flour and add some baking powder.

Ingredients:

  • 150g yoghurt
  • 150g self-raising flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pizza toppings of choice

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 220C and put a baking tray in to warm up.

2. Next, mix the flour, yoghurt and salt together in a bowl to form a rough dough. It’s best to start with the dry ingredients, form a well in the middle and then add the yoghurt.

A fork can be used to combine all the ingredients together to make the dough. Once you’ve got the desired consistency, flatten the dough into a flat pizza base.

3. Top the dough with your favourite toppings being careful not to tear holes in the dough.

4. Remove the baking tray carefully from the oven and put the pizza base on top.

5. Bake for eight to 10 minutes, or until the dough and toppings are brown and bubbling.

6. Remove the pizza from the oven, cut it into slices and serve.
