The Patriotic Alliance (PA) has vowed to camp at the most vulnerable illegal entry points into South Africa in Limpopo to prevent illegal foreigners from entering the country.
PATRIOTIC ALLIANCE TURNS AWAY RETURNING FOREIGNERS
While Customs processed about 10 000 returning foreign nationals at Beitbridge Border Post daily, Patriotic Alliance members led by its President Gayton McKenzie descended on illegal passages used by illegal foreigners to gain entry into South Africa from Zimbabwe.

Having intercepted a couple of chance-takers, McKenzie shared his experience on the field.
“An illegal foreigner can literally come into SA and kill someone and causally stroll back in Zim. I am proud of members of Patriotic Alliance for giving up holiday time to come and stop them from entering our country illegally,” he said.

LACK OF BORDER POLICING BLAMED ON GOVERNMENT BY PATRIOTIC ALLIANCE PRESIDENT
McKenzie blamed the government for allowing illegal foreigners to skip the border “hassle-free”
“The bad news is that South Africans must know that we don’t have a border. When people say they see a borderless South Africa, we are correct in a borderless country. Our members have been camping here to make sure that there is no return of Zimbabweans. We’ve intercepted people with illegal cigarettes, dynamites, people with bags carrying illegal firearms. I want to warn South Africans that this is a mafia syndicate consisting of the police, SANDF, local farmers and traffic officials,” he said.
To attest to his statement, the Patriotic Alliance leader alluded that their border patrol exercise had no support from law enforcement, instead were allegedly threatened to retreat.
ACTIONSA PRESIDENT SHARES FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE
Meanwhile, ActionSA President Herman Mashaba also paid the border post a visit late last year.
“The dysfunctional state of the Beitbridge Border Post between South Africa and Zimbabwe, where the Border Management Authority (BMA) was hastily launched without receiving adequate funding or the transfer of relevant personnel, is emblematic of the lack of political will to tackle porous borders in South Africa,” said Mashaba.
He added that the visit to the border post reaffirmed that the current ruling party does not have the political will to address South Africa’s porous borders, and instead allows its continued decay as the country slips into lawlessness.
