Kaizer Chiefs will be making wholesale changes to their squad in the next transfer window.
Kaizer Chiefs have already identified FIVE red-hot transfer targets.
Whilst, these FIVE Amakhosi players are likely heading out of Naturena.
CHIEFS LINE UP FIVE EXCITING SIGNINGS
In goal, Chiefs are willing to trade their own playing personnel to secure Stanley Nwabili.
Meaning, he is quite a serious target. Moreover, Nwabili has been reportedly linked with a move to Naturena over the last two transfer windows. However, a move did not materialize.
Interestingly, Ntwari has fallen out of favour under Nasreddine Nabi and Amakhosi management with former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma preferred in goal.
Meanwhile, defenders Fawaaz Basadien and Mohammed Husseini are both on Amakhosi’s radar.
So, Chiefs will have to outbid rivals Orlando Pirates if they are to secure Basadien at the end of the season. Moreover, Stellies are set to be open to releasing him at the end of the season. Also, Husseini was a prime target for Amakhosi but the deal did not materialize.
Finally, upfront Clement Maize and Oswin Appollis are both Amakhosi targets. Mzize played under Nabi and Yanga SC. Whereas, Appollis has been linked with Chiefs and Pirates for months with no progress made in that regard to date.
WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN AS NABI BALANCES SQUAD
Squad depth is as important as the overall balance.
This means that clubs must balance out their departures and recruitments to ensure adequate cover in each position. Therefore, for every player linked with an exit there is a reported or planned signing.
As reported on The South African, Fiacre Ntwari, Zitha Kwinika, Reeve Frosler, Edson Castillo and Ranga Chivaviro are all linked with departures.
Ntwari is the player Amakhosi is willing to offer in a swop deal to secure Nwabili. Meanwhile, Chiefs are set to release Kwinika at the end of the season. Additionally, Frosler has attracted interest from these PSL rivals. Whereas, Amakhosi have decided to part ways with this R9-million midfielder. Finally, Chivaviro contract is about to expire with the club likely to let him go.
