Trybe Plans for First Live Event in Las Vegas

Trybe is gearing up for its first event in May in Las Vegas.

Some of the 100-plus speakers include PacSun’s chief executive officer Brieane Olson; Milani Cosmetics’ CEO Mary van Praag; DELFI Diagnostics’ CEO Susan Tousi; Chime’s chief data officer Barkha Saxena; MGM Resorts’ chief sales officer Stephanie Glanzer; Beyond Yoga’s chief marketing officer Katie Babineau, and DoorDash’s chief analytics officer Jessica Lachs.

Running from May 20 to 22 at the Aria in Las Vegas, the event will cover an array of subjects. Trybe’s cofounder Caroline Farley said about 1,000 “established women, rising leaders and allies across consumer, commerce and tech” are expected at the event.

Attendees will represent a wide range of businesses — from start-ups to Fortune 500s. The event will be fully in person. While Trybe is focused on women, it welcomes men too.

Established last March, Trybe was founded by a team that worked for Shoptalk, Groceryshop, Fintech Meetup and Money20/20. Founder Simran Rekhi Aggarwal also serves as CEO. Farley had also cofounded Fintech Meetup and Groceryshop, and Trybe’s chief content officer and cofounder Krystina Gustafson previously led global content for Shoptalk and Groceryshop. Another founding team member, Anil D. Aggarwal, has created events with Aggarwal in the past.

Announcing the event, Aggarwal said in a statement, “Some of the most valuable lessons come from outside one’s own industry, and we’re excited to introduce our attendees to fresh perspectives on challenges and opportunities that cut across businesses.”

Trybe’s preliminary agenda for this spring’s event highlights “Business Success,” “Personal Growth” and “Professional Development.” “Business Success” discussions will delve into advances in data and AI, “exceptional” customer experiences; health and wealth; back office and operational innovations; how to navigate tech stacks and deployments, and more standard topics like the economy and consumer insights. “Personal Growth” and “Professional Development” sessions will primarily spotlight C-level executives’ and CEOs’ views about breaking through to the C-suite, launching and scaling a business, and mastering the art of negotiation.

Trybe will also host peer-group discussions, known as “Tabletalks,” for attendees to network and learn from one another on key topics like professional development, personal growth and women’s health.
