The actor made his debut with the film Love Sex Aur Dhokha. Over the years, Rajkummar Rao tried his best to survive in the industry. His major breakthrough came when he did Abhishek Kapoor’s social drama film Kai Po Che, co-starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Amit Sadh. Rao became a part of many prestigious projects, and then he landed on Stree.
Released in 2018, directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie an instantaneous hit. With this, fans started to look for part 2. In 2024, Stree 2 was released featuring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee in lead roles. The movie was a huge hit and earned Rs 875 crore.
Though today, Rajkummar Rao is a huge star today, his wife Patralekha revealed that both of them had mutually decided that their relationship will be free from any hierarchy and the focus will be on equality and mutual respect.
In an interview, Rajkummar Rao said, ‘There is no one big or small in our relationship. I like to wash the utensils. I take care of the household chores when Patralekhaa cooks or when she is away. This makes the work of both easy.’
Also, in an earlier interview, Rajkummar also shared about the hardships he faced. He said, “I started preparing to become an actor after school. After completing school, I joined the Sri Ram Centre in Delhi. It’s an acting school. I was 18 at the time. So, somebody told me to join college for graduation so that I could get a bus pass. In that way, you can save money. I got to know this very late.
