Here, we are going to talk about a superstar who has delivered more than 10 flop films in the last 4-5 years. However, despite these failures, there has been no change in his lavish lifestyle. This actor is reportedly worth Rs 2,500 crores and has made smart investments in various companies and brands. So, who is this superstar, and where has he invested his fortune? Let’s find out!
The superstar who delivered 10 consecutive flops is Akshay Kumar. His list of flop films includes Sarfira, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Mission Raniganj, Selfiee, Ram Setu, Raksha Bandhan, Samrat Prithviraj, and Bachchan Pandey. However, he has made a strong comeback with Sky Force, which has turned out to be a box-office hit.
Akshay Kumar owns a successful production and distribution company, Cape of Good Films. Under this banner, superhit films like Rustom, Pad Man, Mission Mangal, Good Newwz, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and Sooryavanshi have been produced.
In 2011, he launched another production company, Grazing Goat Pictures, under which films like OMG – Oh My God! were made.
According to CNBC TV18, Akshay Kumar collaborated with the e-commerce platform Myntra to launch his clothing brand Force IX in 2023. Speaking about the collaboration, he said, “It is a pleasure to associate with an e-commerce platform like Myntra for the launch of the limited edition of Force IX.”
Like Ranbir Kapoor, John Abraham, Shahrukh Khan, and other Bollywood actors, Akshay Kumar has also invested in sports. He is the co-owner of the Khalsa Warriors Kabaddi team, which competes in the World Kabaddi League.
According to a report by The Economic Times, in 2019, Akshay Kumar invested an undisclosed amount in the California-based healthcare platform GOQii. Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma was also among the investors in this healthcare brand.
In 2023, Akshay Kumar partnered with the Good Glamm Group to launch a range of personal care and wellness products for men. Expressing his vision, he said, “I have always believed in the well-being and fitness of everyone throughout my life, and this is the experience I want to share with people.”
A few months after joining the Good Glamm Group, Akshay Kumar invested in the Pune-based agritech startup Two Brothers Organic Farm. Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has also invested in this farm, run by Satyajit and Ajinkya Hange.
Last year, Akshay Kumar also invested in the Fashion Entrepreneurs Fund (FEF), a platform that provides seed funding and mentorship to young fashion entrepreneurs. Several prominent figures, including Karan Johar, Naveen Jindal, and Gaurav Dalmia, have also invested in this initiative, founded by Sanjay Nigam and Vagish Pathak.
