MOVING ON: Txampi Diz is to leave his role as chief marketing officer at Casablanca Paris to pursue other opportunities, WWD has learned.
The veteran communications executive had joined Casablanca last April in what was a new role at the fashion house, which is headquartered between London and Paris. It is understood Diz will wrap up his tenure in mid-February.
His successor has yet to be named.
Diz had moved over to Casablanca from Balmain, where he was its first chief marketing officer, serving in that role since 2017.
In his role as a longtime employee of agency KCD in Paris, Diz first started working with Balmain in 2007 when he signed on at the heritage brand as one of the public relations firm’s principal clients.
Diz spent more than 15 years at KCD Worldwide, rising to senior vice president and managing director of KCD Paris.
Diz was brought in to Casablanca as part of a new executive team with ambitions of turning it into a full-scale lifestyle label to rival France’s leading luxury brands. The brand is sold in more than 300 stores worldwide.
Designer Charaf Tajer founded Casablanca in 2018 and serves as its creative director.
Communications and marketing departments have been roiling with change over the past year, echoing an unprecedented level of churn among fashion’s creative directors and chief executive officers.
