If you think Coldplay can’t fix you with their music, think again! The British rock band is in India for the past few days for their concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. After guiding their fans with their light (spark) and their music in Mumbai, Chris Martin and his band members are currently in Ahmedabad. They performed in the city on January 25 and 26 at the Narendra Modi stadium.
What makes Coldplay such a special band is the way the band members make their fans feel. After building a Mumbai-Pune connection with the fans during their concert last week, Chris Martin surprised his fans in Ahmedabad today. On the occasion of Republic Day 2025, Chris sang ‘Vande Mataram’ and even said ‘Maa Tukhe Salaam’ during his performance.
Chris’ gesture won the hearts of thousands of fans present at the Narendra Modi stadium for the concert. The moment was made more special as the Coldplay concert is being streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar. So ten thousands of Indians have witnessed Chris singing ‘Vande Mataram’ on stage. To our entertainment news readers, we would like to inform you that in the past Chris has sung the song with AR Rahman, who composed and sang the patriotic song originally.

Meanwhile, on their social media page, the Coldplay band has thanked their Indian fans for all the love they received. Yesterday, the band’s X page posted, “Our biggest ever concert. Totally mind-blowing. Thank you Ahmedabad ❤️ See you again tomorrow – and if you’re in India, please join us on Disney+ Hotstar from 7.45pm.”
