Netflix’s much-anticipated documentary The Roshans has given audiences a deeper look into the illustrious Roshan family and their contributions to Indian cinema. Among the many anecdotes shared by industry insiders, a gripping account of Hrithik Roshan’s accident during the shoot of Krrish 3 in Singapore has left fans stunned. In the documentary, action director Shaam Kaushal, Rakesh Roshan, and Hrithik himself recalled the harrowing moment when a high-stakes stunt almost turned into a tragedy.

“We were shooting in Singapore,” began Kaushal, “with him running over cars, crossing bridges, and chasing the villain escaping in a helicopter. At one point, Hrithik had to climb to the top of a tall building in the center of the city. He was practicing with a harness when he suddenly slipped right in front of our eyes.”
A Heart-Stopping Moment for Rakesh Roshan
Adding to the tension, Rakesh Roshan revealed, “Before I could even stand up, the cable snapped, and he fell. My heart just stopped.” As Hrithik fell, he landed on the canopy of a small shop on the main street. Miraculously, the actor avoided injury. “I didn’t even hit the rods that separated the canopy. I fell right in the center,” Hrithik recalled. “As soon as I realized what had happened, I scanned myself for injuries, felt I was okay, and informed the crew by raising my hand.”
Rakesh Roshan admitted he was in shock and decided to call off the shoot for the day. “It was 3:30 PM. I told them to pack up, but Hrithik said, ‘No, Papa. If we pack up today, this fear will stay with me.’”
Overcoming Fear and Continuing the Shoot
The next day, Hrithik faced his fears head-on. “I remember going back up on the cables. The fear was lurking, and it was very hard to push it behind me,” he shared. “What helped was the vision of that shot,” Hrithik concluded.
