DOZENS of passengers have been injured after two trams collided in a horror crash at a station in France.

A large rescue operation is now underway after initial reports claimed at least 30 people have been injured.

There are also fears of casualties.

The horror crash occurred after one of the trams accidentally switched tracks before hitting a second tram that stopped at the station.
