While women travelling the world on their own is no new thing, a report from Booking.com revealed a whopping 54 per cent of women travellers were looking to embrace solo travel in 2024.
A separate report in 2023 from Road Scholar, which offers educational travel for older adults, said 85 per cent of the company’s tour participants who travelled solo were women.
Within the travel industry itself, there are a number of high-profile solo female travellers who constantly serve up an inspiring look at what it is like to be a woman boldly exploring the world.
Two of these women reveal their favourite places to explore solo, and why.
