The NBA postseason has crowned an Eastern Conference champion, but fans can still dive into the MVP betting market in the Western Conference.
Currently, Boston’s Jayson Tatum is the betting favorite to be named Finals MVP at -105, while his teammate Jaylen Brown won the Eastern Conference finals MVP award on Monday.
Let’s look at the MVP postseason odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of May 28.
NBA Finals MVP:
Jayson Tatum, Celtics: -105 (bet $10 to win $19.52 total)
Luka Doncic, Mavericks: +230 (bet $10 to win $33 total)
Jaylen Brown, Celtics: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total)
Kyrie Irving, Mavericks: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Western Conference Finals MVP:
Luka Doncic, Mavericks: -1200 (bet $10 to win $10.83 total)
Anthony Edwards, Timberwolves: +1100 (bet $10 to win $120 total)
Kyrie Irving, Mavericks: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Karl-Anthony Towns, Wolves: +13000 (bet $10 to win $1,310 total)
Brown barely edged Tatum for the Larry Bird Trophy after completing a sweep of the Pacers on Monday night.
In the West, it’s all about Dallas and Doncic.
After he hit a game-winning three-pointer in Game 2, Doncic’s odds to win WCF MVP shifted to -400 from -150. Now that his Mavs are up 3-0 against Minnesota, those odds have shortened to -1200.
Last week on “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless brought out the MJ comparisons in regard to Doncic.
“I’ve had my moments, going back three, four years ago when I wasn’t the biggest fan of Luka. But the one thing he does have in common with Michael Jordan … Luka has a history of big fourth quarters in playoff games on the road. He loves it. He lives for it. He lights up for it. He did it to Oklahoma City, he did it to the Clippers in the first round; he enjoys this. … He responded [Wednesday night] by just flat out taking over the fourth quarter.”
