The Purdue Boilermakers are on a five-game winning streak, which includes a 92-84 victory over the then-No. 1 ranked Arizona Wildcats.
As a result, Matt Painter’s Boilermakers and reigning National Player of the Year Zach Edey saw their odds of winning the national title shorten from +950 to +800.
Purdue sits alone at the top of the betting board as the favorite to win it all.
Second on the list are the Arizona Wildcats, whose odds lengthened slightly to +1100 from +1000 after dropping three of their last five games.
Two other teams made huge jumps up the oddsboard.

One of the biggest movers up the betting board is BYU.
Three weeks ago, the Cougars’ odds to win the men’s title were a lengthy +8000, but the 12-1 Cougs are on a four-game winning streak, and now their championship odds sit at +2000.
Another team that made a big leap up the oddsboard is Alabama. Last week, the Tide’s odds to win it all were +4000. But Alabama got a big 101-56 win over Liberty on Dec. 30, and its odds shortened to +2500.
One team to watch is Duke. As always, the Blue Devils opened their season with some hype, and they could finally be finding their way.
While the Blue Devils odds stayed put at +2500, College Basketball Broadcaster and Reporter John Fanta is keeping his eyes on one of their players — Jared McCain.
“The freshman had his finest hour for Jon Scheyer’s program thus far, sparking Duke’s 9-0 surge in a 78-70 win over Baylor at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday,” Fanta wrote about the guard’s Dec. 20 game. “With Tyrese Proctor still out of the lineup but inching closer to a comeback, it’s imperative that McCain continues to elevate his game. Look out for Duke to keep coming on.”
