1 killed, 1 wounded in Paterson shooting

One man was killed and another was wounded Tuesday in a shooting in Paterson, authorities said.

Police were called shortly after 11:50 p.m. to the area of Watson and North Bridge streets, where officers found two injured men.

Both had been shot in the neck and legs and were taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.

A 43-year-old Paterson man was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second man, also a city resident, was hospitalized in stable condition, Valdes said in a statement.
