Sylvester Stallone fans rejoice as Tulsa King has been renewed for season 2 at Paramount+ for more gangster drama. The news comes in after three episodes have hit the streaming service, as the series has seen high viewership for the platform.
The Rocky actor leads as mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi. The New York gangster gets out of prison and settles in Tulsa, OK. The first season sees him build a new criminal organization after not being able to trust his family. Season 2 of Tulsa King will further explore his life and what’s to come from this new setting for the veteran criminal.
The series got the green light to continue after massive numbers from its first few episodes. Its pilot had 3.7 million viewers, making it the biggest new linear cable debut of the year. Add this to its positive reviews, with a critical score of 78% and 86% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes; it has certainly found an audience.
Tulsa King renewed for season 2 at Paramount+
The series comes from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, who is also known for films like Wind River and Sicario. The Rambo star is joined by Andrea Savage (I’m Sorry), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Jay Will (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Max Casella (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Domenick Lombardozzi (The Irishman), and Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire). No cast announcements were made for Tulsa King season 2.
Sheridan serves as a writer and executive producer. Terence Winter serves as showrunner and executive producer. Sylvester Stallone, David C. Glasser, Run Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Allen Coulter, and Braden Aftergood also executive produce.
Details on when to expect season 2 of Tulsa King is unknown as it is too early in its debut outing. It can be watched on Paramount+, where the first three episodes are out. The 10-episode season airs new episodes on Sunday and will conclude on January 22.
