Nubia announced the RedMagic 9 Pro and RedMagic 9 Pro+ last year. Now, the brand has launched the RedMagic 9S Pro and RedMagic 9S Pro+ in China. Both phones offer some similar specifications like a 6.8-inch 120Hz display, the overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 16MP camera setup, and much more. However, they differ in terms of battery. Notably, they also share a lot of similarities with the RedMagic 9 Pro series phones.

RedMagic 9S Pro, RedMagic 9S Pro+ price, storage options

The RedMagic 9S Pro series phones are launched in several storage variants and colour options. The RedMagic 9S Pro starts at CNY 4,799, approximately Rs 55,115, while the RedMagic 9S Pro+ begins at CNY 5,799, around Rs 66,600, for Chinese consumers.

RedMagic 9S Pro, RedMagic 9S Pro+ specifications

The all-new RedMagic 9S Pro and RedMagic 9S Pro+ smartphones come with a 6.8-inch OLED BOE Q9+ 120Hz display with 1600 nits peak brightness, similar to the RedMagic 9 Pro and RedMagic 9 Pro+ phones.

Notably, these phones have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition chipset, which is likely designed to offer enhanced performance compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, equipped in the RedMagic 9 Pro series phones.

Like the RedMagic 9 Pro series, the 9S Pro series also flaunts an OIS-enabled 50MP 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 sensor, a 50MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens with a Samsung JN1 sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, both phones offer a 16MP under-display selfie camera.

The RedMagic 9 Pro comes with a whooping 6,500mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging, while the RedMagic 9 Pro+ offers a 5,500mAh battery but 165W wired charging support. Notably, the RedMagic 9 Pro series phones also come with the same battery capacity and fast charging support.

RedMagic 9S Pro, RedMagic 9S Pro+: what’s new

Looking at the features of the RedMagic 9S Pro series phone, we can easily say that they are so similar to the RedMagic 9 Pro and RedMagic 9 Pro+. However, the RedMagic 9S Pro and RedMagic 9S Pro+ come as a successor to the RedMagic 8S Pro and RedMagic 8S Pro+.

The new RedMagic smartphones offer similar display sizes to their predecessors but switch to OLED displays instead of AMOLED. They offer 1600 nits of peak brightness, up from 1300 nits, and are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, replacing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

They also come with an upgraded battery capacity, as the RedMagic 8S Pro and RedMagic 8S Pro+ were launched with 6,000mAh and 5,000mAh battery capacities, respectively. Furthermore, the predecessors came with 50MP+8MP+2MP cameras, while the new phones offer 50MP+50MP+2MP sensors.
