COPS have launched a probe after fire yobs deliberately targeted a block of new build flats.
Emergency services raced to the scene on Commissioner Street in Bo’ness at around 10.30pm on Friday night.
Seven fire engines were mobilised and crews worked through the night to get the flames under control.
Two fire engines where still at the scene on Saturday morning.
The properties were thought to be under construction.
Images from the scene showed flats ablaze with building equipment and scaffolding around them.
Flames and thick black plumes of smoke engulfed the building.
Bright orange flames could also be seen through the roof of the property.
Witnesses said the fire could be seen from three miles across the River Forth.
Mercy crews confirmed nobody was reported injured from the fire.
Police Scotland have confirmed they are now treating the fire as deliberate.
And they said enquiries are still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 we were called to a report of a fire in premises at Commissioner Street, Bo’ness.
“Officers attended and assisted Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. There were no reports of injuries.
“The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.19pm on Friday, December 13 to reports of a building fire near Links Road.
“Operations Control mobilised seven fire appliances.”
