According to the list submitted to the Governor’s office, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be holding Home, Energy (excluding Renewable Energy), Law and Judiciary, General Administration, Information and Publicity (and department’s not allocated to any other minister).
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of the Shiv Sena has got, “Urban Development, Housing, Public Works( Public Enterprises), Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar of the Nationalist Congress party has got the Finance ministry with him as well as state excise.
Other BJP MLAs who have got portfolios are State BJP Chief, Chandrashekhar Bawankule who will now be the Revenue Minister, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil has got Water Resources (Godavari and Krishna Valley Development Corporation). Girish Mahajan has also got Water Resources (Vidarbha, Tapi and konkan Development Corporation) as well as Disaster Management, Chandrakant Patil has got Higher and Technical Education and parliament affairs. Ganesh Naik has got Forests, Pankaja Munde has got Environment and Climate Change as well as Animal Husbandry. Nitesh Rane has got Fisheries and Ports, Ashok Uike has got Tribal Development. Ashish Shelar has got Information Technology and Cultural Affairs, Jaykumar Gore has got Rural development and Panchayati Raj.
Among the Sena Ministers who have got portfolios are Gulabrao Patil -Water supply and sanitation department, Dada Bhuse would handle school education, Sanjay Rathod will handle soil and water conservation. Uday Samant will be the Industries Minister, Pratap Sarnaik has got Transport. Shamburaj Desai will be Minister for Tourism, Mining and ex-servicemen welfare.
Among the NCP-Manikrao Kokate has got Agriculture, Dhananjay Munde will have Food, Civil Supplies and consumer protection, while Hasan Mushrif has got Medical Education, Aditi Tatkare has been given women and child development, Babasaheb Mohanrao Patil has got co operation with him.The allocation of portfolios barring a few has by and large followed the previous formulas allocated during the Eknath Shinde government.
