KPMG ‘FRAUDSTER’: COURT
According to Sowetan, Fidelis Moema’s mother, Dikeledi also benefited from the scheme where money was allegedly deposited into her bank account.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane confirms to Jacaranda FM that Dikeledi has been added as the fourth accused in the case against Fidelis and two others.
Fidelis allegedly used his friends and girlfriend to misdirect funds meant for bursary recipients. The state alleges that Fidelis would instead of paying university fees on behalf of students, pay the money into the bank accounts of companies belonging to friends.
Her son is accused of swindling over R16 million from KPMG, which was meant to fund the tertiary education of deserving students.
Dikeledi caught the attention of social media when she walked into the court draped in a blanket, while clutching a walking stick.
Social media users pitied the 66-year-old who appeared old and frail when she walked into court this week. Twitter detectives uncovered her old videos and photos when she reportedly worked as a government official.
WHO IS DIKELEDI MOEMA?
Dikeledi Moema reveals on her LinkedIN that her last job was being chief director in the presidency from 2011 to present. Moema also reveals she worked as the head of transformation at the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) between 2002 and 2011.

She also claims to have studied at the universities of Liverpool and York in Britain between 1988 and 1990, where she studied BA honours in social policy.
Presidency spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya confirms to Sowetan that Moema was a staffer in the office but resigned a “long time ago”.
“Sometimes when people leave their places of employment, they fail to update their CVs and online profiles just like in this case. I can confirm she resigned a long time ago,” adds Magwenya.
SOUTH AFRICANS RESPOND TO HER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
@big_SAUCEEY: “This lady is also in a senior position at a government department. She knows what’s up. They know why she’s there.”
@sibutrader: “Twitter investigators are on another level. You guys would have cracked the Meyiwa case a long time ago if you had the resources.”
@ms_tourist: “Bathong! Did Mama also benefit from the proceeds of crime? I now fear for the bundle of joy. Because that gender reveal was for him. Technically plus the nestum.”
@MxolisiBD: “These people who get their elderly parents involve in their alleged criminal activities are actually heartless. Seeing your mother or father in court, facing criminal charges, what does it say to you? Hayi man!”
