Traffic and pedestrians are being guided away from the horror rush hour scene.

Images from the spot show bandages and a pool of blood on the pavement where it’s understood people ran to a victim’s aid.

An eyewitness said: “They were shouting at each other in the street. One of them was at the window of the restaurant and the other one ran over from him from Tesco.”

It’s understood one of the men attacked the other with a glass bottle during the rammy before running away.

Cops cordoned off the area and closed down the road as an investigation into the incident got underway.

An ambulance was parked on the road close to the Viet Pho restaurant adjacent to the station’s Union Street entrance.

It’s the second time in 24 hours one of the city’s busiest streets has been closed down due to a police probe.

Tragically, the 40-year-old woman died at the scene and her family has been informed.

Police have launched a probe into the tragedy and a post-mortem will be carried out.
