Alia Bhatt on Choosing to Back Projects like ‘Poacher’, ‘Darlings’, ‘Jigra’ as a Producer |

Alia Bhatt has turned producer again with ‘Poacher‘ and the trailer was launched 2 days ago.The actress was present at the launch event as she exuded boss babe vibes in a green pant suit. Alia turned producer with ‘Darlings‘ and this is her second project. Though, on ‘Poacher’, she joined the team after the film was made already. Meanwhile, her third production ‘Jigra‘ which also stars her is currently in the making.She has co-produced it with Karan Johar.
In an interview, Alia has opened up on what makes her turn producer and what is it that she sees in a project. The actress told Pinkvilla that the journey on Poacher is different as she came on board after its creation but the intention is the same. Whether it’s ‘Darlings’, or ‘Jigra’ or this one, it’s the emotional core which makes her connect to it. She added that it’s all based on what the content does to her as a human being and how she reacts to it at a human level. Hence, it makes her want to do something to push it more so that more people consumes this content and it’s also entertaining. So, the first factor to choose to be a producer is the emotional content and the second factor she considers is, if its entertaining!
The actress revealed at the trailer launch event that she was heavily pregnant with Raha when director Richie Mehta came to her with this. The series is inspired by real-life incidents and stars Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ankith Madhav, Kani Kusruti, Suraj Pops among others. It begins streaming from February 23 onwards.
