Infosys Performance Bonus: The bonus pertains to the company’s Q2 2025 performance, which ended in September
Infosys Performance Bonus: Infosys has announced an 85 per cent performance bonus for eligible employees, as reported by the Economic Times. The bonus pertains to the company’s Q2 2025 performance, which ended in September. Eligible employees are expected to receive the bonus alongside their November salaries, with the exact payout varying based on individual performance and contributions during the quarter.
The bonus will primarily benefit mid- and junior-level employees in the delivery and sales units, which make up a significant portion of Infosys’ 3.15 lakh-strong workforce.
Infosys’ Email To Employees
The company has sent emails to eligible employees regarding the bonus. A portion of the email, reviewed by the Economic Times, reads: “In line with our organizational goals of fostering a high-performance work culture, we have continued to drive performance differentiation as we close bonus payouts.”
The email further states, “In Q2, we delivered a strong performance with broad-based growth, reinforcing our market leadership. This success is a result of your unwavering dedication, our strategic focus on margin performance, and our industry-leading expertise in Cloud and Generative AI. Your commitment has been critical in building our capabilities and delivering exceptional value to our clients. Thank you for your invaluable contributions, and we look forward to a future full of endless possibilities with you.”
Financial Performance and Bonus Payout
For Q2 2025, Infosys reported a 4.7 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 6,506 crore and a 5.1 per cent rise in revenue to Rs 40,986 crore, driven by major deals and higher demand in financial services. The company also raised its FY25 revenue growth forecast to 3.75%-4.5 per cent.
The 85 per cent bonus payout is an increase from the 80 per cent announced for Q1 FY25 and 60 per cent in Q4 FY24. Unlike some competitors, such as TCS, which reportedly tied bonuses to office attendance, Infosys’ bonus policy is not linked to its hybrid work model, which requires employees to work on-site for at least 10 days each month. An Infosys employee confirmed that the bonus payout is independent of the company’s return-to-office policy.
Infosys’ Bonus Payout Surpasses TCS
Infosys’ bonus payout surpasses that of TCS, which reportedly gave an average bonus of 50-60 per cent, with higher payouts for employees working from the office.
Additionally, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh announced that salary hikes will begin selectively in January 2025 and will extend to all employees by April 2025. This follows a salary freeze in FY22 and a delayed appraisal cycle in FY24.
