Taking to Instagram, the club posted, “Masandawana, let’s wish Khuliso Mudau a very happy birthday! Drop your birthday message for The Sailor below.”
The post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet. However, Mzansi was quick to implicate his age into the mix. How old is Khuliso Mudau?
Over the years the star has managed to keep his private life under wraps leaving many to guess even about his age. However, on his birthday, Mzansi connected the dots about Khuliso Mudau’s age.
The 29-year-old star was born on 26 April 1995 in Musina, Limpopo.
CAREER
Little is known about his youth career. However he had his senior debut with JDR stars before joining Magesi during the 2016/2017 season. Khuliso Mudau left Magesi for Black Leopards. His command of the game saw several PSL teams pursuing his signature.
After 63 appearances across all competitions, the right back left Black Leopards for Mamelodi Sundowns in 2020. No doubt Khuliso Mudau’s shot to stardom came against the backdrop of his move to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Khuliso Mudau has been influential in the Sundowns squad and has since earned his national team call-up. Just like those before him, Mudau has capped his illustrious career with several silverware, which include:
- Three Premier Leagues
- Nedbank Cup Champions
- MTN 8 Cup Champions
- Carling Black Label Cup
- African Football League Champions
Last year, Khuliso Mudau hogged headlines after rumour mill had it that several European clubs were interested in him, but nothing materialised. Soon after an impressive campaign with Bafana Bafana, it was reported that English Premier League side Burnley and a Belgian club were monitoring his situation.
However against the trends he made it known that if any better opportunity comes he would take it. Speaking to iDiski Times, he said, “On that one, I think if that opportunity comes, I would take it.”
However, against Khuliso Mudau’s birthday backdrop, fans were more than convinced that his age might be taking a toll on his move to Europe. Over the years, few Africans have made it to European Leagues at 29, especially coming from African leagues.
